I have a horrible yard and have been researching grasses. I want low maintenance. I am ready to have everything removed and start over. Would Bahia be my best choice? I have not had good luck with St. Augustine. I live in central florida on the Gulf coast.

Bahia would be low maintenance from the fertilizer, watering stand points, but will require a couple of mowings a week to keep lawn looking like a lawn. Plus it doesn’t hold up well to herbicies , etc.

Have you thought about Seashore Paspalum(Paspalum vaginatum)? It is low maintence, salt tollerant, drought tollerant too. Check out this site:http://aggiehorticulture.tamu.edu/plantanswers/turf/publications/seashore.html
