I live in San Antonio, TX and unfortunately, I am surrounded on both sides with neighbors who have St. Augustine lawns. I am expecting that to some degree I will not be able to control some of their St. Augustine over on to my tiff, but I was wondering if any one knew of anything I could do to help minimize the St. Augustine from coming over. Currently I am just mainly pulling out as much as I can as often as I can.

Thanks,

yeah, i’ve seen guys in Houston with the same issue- easy fix- get that steel landscape edging and separate the sections where you want to keep the st. aug out. seen it used on lots of occassions in houston. simply weed eat down the edge – no problem.

p.s. stay away from chemical fixes on this one- won’t help and could harm your tiff

How high does the edging need to be from the ground? I just have a concern about someone tripping over the edging and maybe cutting them self and the liability that might come with that.

Thanks,

just at the level of the grass. i’ve seen it used all the way down the sides of the property.nobody’s going to trip on it.

I have a new Zoysia lawn and neighbors on both sides have St. Augustine. Runners on both sides intruding, a lot. I’ve looked at “edging” a few places, but have not seen any “steel landscape edging,” mentioned herein. I live in Central Florida. Can anyone tell me what, where and how much? Thanks.
