also my sodded Emerald Zoysia, in Mississippi, is less than three years old and it greens up very slowly and an in patches. It looks like like a leopard in some spots. A green and brown leopard. Any ideas on this, and how much fertilizer does it like. Also I bought it at half price because it had some bermuda in it. I have tried Fusilade II but the rate for Zoysia is so small that it doesn’t seem to be putting a dent in the bermuda, and it still yeloow it. My question is this. If I go ahead and mix a strong rate, wack the bermuda, knowing that my zoysia is going to “burn badly”, will this kill my Zoysia? I can live with the burn until it recovers. Thanks for the help. Sorry so long.

Go low. You can always reapply. A slow and uncertain weed death is better than a quick and sure death. In fact, if you do injure the zoysia, the bermuda will probably come back in with more vengeance.

Bobby had good experiences with Fusilade, but that wasn’t a panacea. As part of a long term program, he said, “Conclusion thus far has been zoysia looks great and the bermuda is suffering badly from the lack of nitrogen.https://turfgrass.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000248.html
