We’ve all heard not to drop N when it’sextremely hot, but how hot is too hot?The product I’m using is marketed as a”no burn” coated granule that’s guaranteed”not to burn”. However, even Scotty couldn’tchange the laws of physics. Anyone?

Lawns should be fertilized before the extreme heat. If you need to fertilize during the heat you should be ok at no more than one half pound of readly avalible N per one thousand sq ft. Not a good idea if in a drought and heat. Think of fertilize like salt it will make a dry lawn drier and the burn you may see could be heat stress caused by that.
