what’s the best grass for dogs

We have two dogs, shepard/lab mix, what is the best type of grass and what would be the best method of installing into an existing fescue lawn?

Bermuda seems to handle dog traffic well.

Where are you located? Is there sun/shade? What about soil texture? We need a little more info to go on.

We live in corona, ca. The soil is primarily hard dirt/rock with clay. The backyard is primarliy shade with some (little) sun at various times.
