What kind of herbicide?

I did serious damage to my St. A. lawn and now have bare spots of healthy weeds. Since coming here, I have learned to not blindly apply herbicides but to identify the weed beforehand. Is there website I can browse to identify the weeds I have? I have something that looks like parsley, some thing that resembles fine, 3 leaf clover, dollar weed, and every other wild nongrass that thrives in NE Florida. Thanks in advance.I know that the sod farms certainly don’t give their product the individual attention mine has gotten (per unit of 100 sq. ft.) but what do they use to kill the myriad varieties of weeds that is available to the average consumer? I know the sod farms don’t dig weeds like I do.I have learned about cutting and watering but I so won’t spend the effort and money to dig up and resod. The best looking two patches seem to be those I neglect the most!!

Hi E.E. Green.
You can use Atrazine, Image, and Manage on St Augustine grass. Atrazine controls most weeds and is very inexpensive. Image is more expensive but controls sedges and broadleafs. You can mix Atrazine and Image together but if so then mix at about 50 to 75% strength of each. Manage is great for sedges but is very expensive.
Make sure you use a pre-emergent next year to prevent and control weeds early. Prevention is much easier.
Hope this helps!
