What Grass Do I Need?

I live in Long Island, NY. I have a very large backyard that has partial shade and some areas full light. But when the sun moves from east and west.. the light can reach the shaded parts. I don’t know what kind of grass is in my yard. Seems like there’s two kind of grasses. One is short and another is tall. The grass must be strong enough to cope with slopes in the ground.
Most of all, I have six dogs. So my backyard is very HEAVILY used.
So I need an real TOUGH grass that grows FAST. I don’t mind mowing a lot as long as it doesn’t die out. I have SIX BIG dogs that loves to play in the yard a LOT.
What should I plant? Email me at ca*********@ho*****.com
Thank you.

Don’t know a lot about cool season grasses, but if you were in my part of the world and asked, “What should I plant?” I’d suggest concrete!
