VERTA CUTTING

I need all the help I can get on vertucutting zoysia grass like what is the time to do it? how deep do i cut? how do i know when to cut it? we cut the grass with a rotary mower now at 4″ high all year around the grass is like walking on a bead matress.

My bad it is floritam grass not zosia I need info on to vertacut.

You can verti-cut anytime after your grass is fully established in the late spring or early summer. Mow it down to about 2 1/2″ and verti-cut one way and if that doesn’t take out enough thatch go again in the opposite direction.
