type of sod

I am building a house and have chosen to have palmetto sod put in. I have been told that it was “all wet” and needed to pick another type of sod. What would you recommend that would do well in the North Central Florida area that looks lush, does well in sun and is resistent to chinch bugs etc?

Empire, Empress or Emerald zoysia.
Pros- Zoysia loves the sun, laughs at chinchbugs, requires little fertilizer, is a nice lush grass, will get medium to dark green, chokes out most weeds, and needs less mowing.
Cons- Spreads slower than most other grasses (but reasonably fast in FL), turns brown with a frost, and watch for billbugs. Mow Emerald and Empress with reel mower to look best. Rotary works but keep the blades sharp.
