Torpedo grass

Two months ago I laid floritam in my back yard. Lawn was looking great but got a fungus and chinch bugs which I have recently treated. There are some thinned out areas which are being invaded by torpedograss. The weed was in the sod when delivered but I did not know what it was at that time. Now it is in probably 50% of my backyard.
My question is should I just use roundup and start over or will the SAG eventually smother out the torpedo.
Anyone with experience with torpedo? Thanks

Torpedo grass is extremely difficult to control. If a good lawn is important I would probably do a good kill and resod.
