What are the best materials to use as a topdressing mixture for bermuda?

I use just plain washed brick sand, or fine silica sand, but the brick sand is usually cheaper. Make absolutely sure its washed. This is a process that kills all the noxious weeds, including nutsedge. If you dont have a topdresser, use a drop spreader, then drag.
