Ted — thanks for bringing that up

I was sooo certain. However, I did a little more picture research. . . this time focusing on looking at purple nutsedge.
Turns out, I have both. But the purple nutsedge is by far the most prevelant. The yellow nutsedge is in the lawn, but is far outnumbered by the purple.
I must’ve pulled atleast 100 plants at this point — not always removing the tubers, but giving it my best shot. I also cut the grass fairly low (1 inch) and follow good watering habits (although it has been raining for a week straight).
The centipede is filling in. . . not sure if I can control this weed culturally though. Everything I’m reading says it is very tough to get rid of one, due to the tubers.

well, whatever post you’re referring to, absolutely don’t pull up nutsedge!!! every time you pull it, it sends out more shoots from it’s underground “tube” system. never pull, just spray.
