Has anyone ever heard of a warm season ryegrass that can be used for Florida summers?

There has been a lot of heat tolerance bred into the new perennial rye’s……but Florida is a bit too hot and humid to consider using rye as the permanent stand. It will however survive the summer if its planted in the shade, and fungicide applied monthly. Its better,(over the long haul) to use a tropical grass, and over seed with rye in the winter. In this manner you will be able to enjoy the lush- “northern looking turf” for at least part of the year.
