I have a centipede lawn, but after I mow it, seed stalks shoot up scattered through out the lawn. They grow up in about 3 days and are foot with seven days. Grabbing them, I dig it out with my fingers but they may extend two feet twisted through the centipede. It grows like centipede, but it is much thicker and aggressive. What is this stuff? One guy told me it was “bahiah grass” but I can’t find that name

You might also investigate torpedograss. I have it and its eating everything!the runners are whitish, tough and have nodes at the intersections. Read about it, but you wont like what you see

It sounds like, “Argentine Bahia Grass.” Depending on your location, there’s a possibility it could be, “Pensacola Bahia.”The later of the two is much thicker, taller and a real mother to get rid of, with anything short of, Round Up. ( and to be honest, I’ve done total kills on turf, where the Bahia is the first thing to return.
If it’s Torpedo grass, it will nearly resemble, St. Augustine. The runners will be very long, and you’ll find it primarily in the water holding areas of your turf.
