St. Augustine with Bugs

I need some help pretty please. We finally got our house back after having renters live in it for 3 years and neighbors that do not care for their lawn…Hence we now have almost lost all the St. Augustine at the back of the house and slowly loosing everything at the front. This weekend I put down Chinch Bugg Granuals and Feed and Weed from Lescos. We had a quote from a lawn care man to come and plug some of the area but he wants $4k and we just dont have that sort of money so I need to do it myself and so Im looking for information on what I should do first. I know I have to rake up all the dead grass etc but how do I know I have killed those bugs lol So I go and get a liquid spray just to make sure? Thank you all in advance.
I almost forgot Do Not over water. Floratan /Seville all strains of St. Augustine are suseptible to fungus from over…
I am from the north and it has taken me five yrs to learn and undertand seville lawns. No 1…
