St Augustine Sod

We live in Ft. Worth , Texas and just laid St Augustine sod 2.5 weeks ago. We used a starter fertilizer, so the grass is starting to take shape. However, we are starting to see nut grass. 2 quesions: 1) Can I still use my Winterizer and Weed and Feed this November? 2) What to do about the nut grass in a new lawn?
