St Augustine grass help

Help! My St Augustine greass keeps drying out/ Over the past 3 years we have had to professionally resod our yard in 2 general locations. The front lawn has remained nice and green, but the back drys out. Grass is seemingly watered preperly twice a week early in the morning. Last year we found chinch bugs in the grass. We are planning on re doing the grass this year again. What can cause these particular areas to have this problem?
