Is there a successful maintenance program for chinch bug control?

The Chinch Bug is different from a lot of other turfgrass bugs. The Chinch Bug is a sucker. It does the most damage as a nymph because there are so many of them! There has to be a substantial amount to do damage(millions). I would first make sure that you have enough that are actually doing damage. I assume that you live somewhere in the south because you have St. Augustinegrass. If i were you i would go to your local golf course and ask or local Earl May garden center. If i would have to say any insecticide would work.(e.g. chlordane, heptachlor, aldrin, dieldrin).
