St. Augistine Grass herbiside

I live in central California and the housing development I live in is being invaded with St. Augistine Grass. The St. Augistine grass is hardy, however I would like to keep it from invading my lawn. Is there a selective herbiside that can be used to prevent the St. Augistine Grass from taking over?

It’s called lack of water. That should do the trick. What are you trying to grow there? I hope not bermuda. Too much work…
