Help, I have 2 dogs, 1 female, 1 male. Both fixed. (if that matters.)With the snow gone from a long winter I have an ugly lawn with patches all over. Ranging in sizes from 6 inches to @5 feet.Is it the pee? winter kill? What can I do?

Hi Winnepeg,
The easiest way to tell pet damage is to look closely at the damaged areas. Usually there will be a nice dark green ring immediately around the dead spots. In my experience, it is usually the female that causes the damage. I don’t know or remember if the “fixed” part matters.
I wouldn’t think the larger areas are caused by pet damage, and not knowing what type of grass we are dealing with makes it hard to help much further than this.
I will try to check again soon if you can update.
