Sodding Emerald Zoysia

I live in Allen, TX. Many parts of my lawn do not get enough sunlight for Bermuda; I am thinking of getting one pallet of Emerlad Zoysia sod from A-1 Grass in Plano -the Emerald Zoysia seems to be closest in blade texture to Bermuda. I have never done sodding before. Some questions for the knowledagable folks:
1. Is Emerald Zoysia a bad choice?
2. Can I take the lazy way and simply lay the sod on top of bare spots and thin areas of Bermuda?
3. Do you know anyone who will take on the job for reasonable fees? One company I asked wanted $450 (the pallet is around $200)
Thanks,
gv

emerald is very shade tolerant; leaf texture is thinner than many bermudas but can match some; they will look different.
