Snails

We sodded our one acre lot with centipede in March 04. The grass is doing great. Then, I noticed just this past weekend… snails (very small ones) in some parts of our yard. Could this be a potential problem? Is there something we can do to get rid of them without harming the grass? We live in central Alabama. Thanks!

I haven’t seen snails damage grass (not to say they can’t). there are some snail baits available commercially which will do a good job controling them if you take the inclination to do so.
