Shady area needs grass

Help! I live in Galveston, Texas (on the coast) and my backyard is a wasteland. We have a huge live oak growing back there and no grass! We are concerned about the amount of lead in our soil (we have children) and need to get some sort of ground covering down. Does anyone know what sort of grass would grow well under highly shady conditions (our soil is also sandy). Thanks in advance!

might need to look into a ground cover as opposed to grass. run over to moody gardens- lots of up-to-date landscaping going on.
