Seed Bermuda or Kill Weeds.. or both?

I’m in the Dallas area. My bermuda is coming in but last fall I really attacked a bunch of crabgrass and nutsedge. So there are a bunch of bare spots… no bermuda. To add insult to injury: I also put pre-emergent down (fall and spring) but for some reason the crabgrass and nutsedge are back! We had some very heavy rainfall and I am suspecting that the rain washed away the pre emergent that I put down. So now I have: 1. Bare spots where I killed the weeds 2. Weeds where I have established bermuda
So, do I kill the crabgrass and nutsedge now? Or do I leave it and try to seed the bermuda?
So frustrating. Please help!

I’m also in the DFW area:
I had a bad nutsedge problem last year after resodding with Tiff. Lecso sells a product called Sedge Hammer and it knocked it out completely.
I’ve got the crabgrass issue a bit compounded with my bermuda coming in slowly and thin in my front yard.
You can find the Lesco cloest to you on their website, that stuff works miracles.

In order:1. Kill sedge and crabgrass2. Plug the bare areas with bermuda from other parts of your lawn. Fill the plug removed areas with sand not the crabgrass seed laced soil from the area you killed.3. Install another pre-emergent layer.
Note also, pre-emergents have little impact on nutsedge. I recommend Manage for nutsedge. MSMA and Image have some impact on it but generally home owners are not satisfied with those products.
