Looks good. I’ve got some extra seed money from this year’s budget. Might as well try it.

I read several research studies on rtf that I found with a web search. Although it appears that it has been well known for years that there are tall fescues which produce rhizomes – their ability to spread is minimal and nowhere near what we are used to seeing from grasses like zoysia, st. augustine, bermuda, etc. Although some of the sellers are claiming to have isolated strains which have a high amount of rhizome growth, nothing that I read indicated that it was in the ball park with standard warm season turf grasses. Are they better than typical tall fescue? Probably so. Equal to the grasses mentioned above? It doesn’t appear to be so.
