ROUNDUP killed my lawn! Seed or sod??
TARA – posted 18 May 2006 13:46
Hello…we have just moved into this home in December and are having a heck of a time getting the lawn nice. I have 2 issues I could use some advice on. We’ve removed some large bushes and have seeded the area for grass where the bushes used to be. Should I just sod it and forget the seed? Between the rain and birds eating up the grass seed, I can’t imagine that any grass will grow evenly. Probem #2…we had some dandelions popping up and a few other weeds. We unfortunatley made the mistake of using RoundUp on the spots with weeds. Now..we have a dreaded front lawn with HUGE yellow areas of dead grass from the week killer. Is there anything we can do to rescue my lawn?? Considering there is a large portion with just soil & seed, now yellow spots from the killer…should we just sod the entire front lawn? My father thinks we should rake the heck out of the front lawn and do a “proper” seedjob. Any comments, advice?? At the moment I just slither in the side door of our house!ThanksTARA from Burlington, On, Canada
