Putting in new sod soon
Help! – posted 02 August 2005 17:46
We pulled out old grass, which was all or mostly crab grass. We’re getting ready to lay new sod, have already rotatilled, and raked the dirt about a million times to get rid of the crabb grass. I know it is inevitable the crab grass will return, but do you have any suggestions as to ways to help minimize it’s return? Also, is there a particular type of sod that is more resistant to crab returning?
Thanks!

Zoysia is what I have, it grows so thick that not many weeds can grow throw it. But a good fertilizers with crabgrass preventer will control the crabgrass in any sod.
