Preventing the spread of Bermuda grass

My adjacent neighbor has planted Princess Burmuda grass seed. It has taken hold and begun to spread. I have a Fescue lawn and want to prevent the Burmuda from spreading to my lawn. What kind of barrier will I need to prevent that from occurring? How deep does the barrier need to be?

A lot depends on how high the bermuda is being mowed. I use a barrier 2″ above the ground and about the same below to keep my bermuda from spreading into my wife’s flower beds. I mow at 1/2″ to 9/16ths. I think if I allowed it to grow quite a bit higher it would likely come over the top of the barrier.
