Poa removal from Kikuyu

Has anyone tried sucessfully to remove Poa annua from Kikuyu? Someone local has tried Ethofumesate (in late spring in NZ) just yesterday, I hope there was no Kikuyu sticking its nose out at the time as it certainly ruins Cynodons and im thinking it will do the same to Kike. And while we are at it, has anyone tried to remove Rye grass from Kikuyu? Obviously it is better to apply herbicides when it is growing fast (mid-late summer)but by then there is no point-no poa and the rye is damn near suffocated by the Kike.
