Hydroseeding in Southern Ca.

I’am ready to do my yard and my neighbor and I are thinking of hydroseeding. I noticed number 1, that most articles are 2 to 3 years old. Number 2, I don’t see a whole lot of hydroseeding going on, in California.? Has anyone done any hydroseeding lately and what are the results? thank you.Really need to see the advantage and disavantage of it, and is is cost effective.
