Planting a new lawn

Hello I am a new homeowner, have never planted grass before, and the house we’ve just bought has been empty for about 5 years. We’re in south central utah, very dy, hot, and sunny. I was thinking about the Zoysia grass from Zoysia Farms, but after reading this board, I’m not sure. Can anyone help with ideas for “Growing Grass for Dummies”!!!???!!! Thanks! ~Alana

Hi Alana,Congratulations on your new home! Here’s some sites from the Utah Extension Service about lawns and types of grass to plant. They would be your best resource for info in your area.
