Overseeding warm-creeeping grasses?
volabroad posted 16 June 2004 16:29
I have a lawn that is splotchy at best, but the lawn is level.
I need to grow my centipede in the splotchy/dead parts.
Instead of pulling up the lawn and putting down sod, could I seed the entire lawn and just let it grow? Or would the “splotchy” parts create some thatch accumulation that I don’t want with centipede?
Please help. About to dump seed on the yard if no response.

I wouldn’t worry about differences in thatch…I’d do it!

Do you recommend Tifblair centipede?

Tifblair should be OK, but I would not pay a premium price for it. Common centipede should do a good job for you.
