Hi, I am from lower Alabama. I am trying to plant a new lawn from a completely bare lot. There is no topsoil present, mostly red dirt& clay mixture. Is it possible to plant centipede seed without hauling in topsoil? what are other options? PLEASE HELP QUICK!!!!

You can plant without topsoil but you will have to fertilize and water frequently.
If the issue is cost, can you get some leaves, shredded paper, grass clippings and similar and toss on the soil and till into it? This would give you some nutrients and should not be too costly.
