Anyone know where to purchase this product at a reasonable price. Thanks, joe_earney@hotmail.com

You can get a water soluable packet for about $15 at Lesco. Makes a couple of gallons of spray. I’m assuming you have a problem with nutsedge. If so you may want to consider Image, works a whole lot better for me on 419.

My local Southern States has Manage for under $10/package. I’m in Southern Kentucky.

Try SedgeHammer. Available at local Lesco store. Manage is no longer available according to my local Lesco store. Use to control nutsedge

Nutsedge.

According to my local Lesco dealer, Manage is no longer available. The replacement product is SedgeHammer (Turf Herbicide)> Box reads that Sedgehammer is a selective herbicide for the control of nutsedge and other weeds in turfgrass and landscaped areas. It cost $18.00 for a 0.9grams from Lesco but I found it on the internet (E-Bay) for $12.00 plus shipping from Florida.I haven’t tried it as of yet but according to Lesco this is the “NEW” produce replaceing Manage.

I’ve used Image on my St. Augustine lawn. While it does kill the Nutsedge, it’s veryrough on the lawn, and stunted mine forseveral weeks. Manage uses a differentherbicide that I am told is much gentleron the turf while still killing Nutsedge.Sedgehammer (the new product) still usesthe same chemical as Manage–Halosulfuron.

What type of turf do you have? If you haveSt. Augustine, those are your choices (Imageor Sedgehammer). Monument isn’t labeled forSt. Augustine and I’d bet would kill itoutright.

Image can be tough on turf, but is for me the most effective way to deal with nutsdege. The trick is to understand that Image kills nutsedge through the root, it does not translocate through the leaves as does Manage and similar products. So, to get it down to the roots and not cause a lot of damage to the turf via their leaves, I use a tank sprayer, put the nozzle right on the ground at the base of the nutsedge and give it a shot straight into the soil. Then, my helper follows up with a soak of plain water from a sprinkle can, maybe a cup or two. That pushes the product down to the root and washes any residual from the turf. Few days later, no nuts, and even better, no turf damage.

If you are talking about Sedgehammer, (Replacing Manage) I purchased it from my local Lesco dealer here in PSL, Florida for $18.00 for a 0.9 gram of this stuff.

I went on E-bay and located a place in New Port Richey, FL. the web site is http://www. pestcontroloutlet.com. It was around $12.00 plus shipping. Its the same package as Lesco sell for 18.00.

Has anyone out there tried this new stuff and if so, how did it do?????

In my case, I have a large number of small(3-6 leaves) nutsedge plants, so findingthem visually is difficult. (To do it,I have to squat down and eyeball the turf tolook for the characteristic narrow leavesshooting up above the St. Augustine leaves–which may be at 4-5″ in height before a mowing.)

Thus, if I had to take a sprayer and individually locate each plant to spray itsbase, at least for me, it would be difficult.

I plan to just stick a tracker in the tankand blast the whole lawn.
