Meyer Zoysia Brown Spots

I have a 2 year old meyer zoysia sodded yard. It has done well the last 2 years but this Spring when it began to green, some spots did not come back. I used my riding mower to remove leaves during the summer. Will these sections come back after ferilizing?? I live near Birmingham, AL.

“Brown spots” is not a lot of information to make a diagnosis.

So my answer is: Maybe, maybe not. If you have a fungus the fertilizer will make it worse. If you have bill bugs it will not matter much. If its just a slow to return area due to shading maybe.

To be safe I would wait on the fertilizer and instead spray it with a fungicide and an insecticide containing Imidacloprid.
