How is everyone looking these days? I recently got some much needed rain from TS Beryl. The heat has really been drying out the lawns around here bad. http://i47.tinypic.com/1q01uh.jpg

the storm was great for me. I did a black cow and top dress about 2 days before so the rain soaked it in good plus we have had rain on and off for almost a week straight after. Now just gotta watch for fugus………

this is my first year with a jamur and it is a disaster. my county has a 20 inch rain deficit so i am watering via a old style sprinkler. I believe that part of my yard has brown patch fungus. The rest of the yard is not growing (it is rooted) the color is light green and I have no clue how to fix.. I had Scots come out and throw limestone and spray fert and fungicide. I topdressed a area with BKow and will see what happens there I hope this will start a comeback. Very depressed

I wouldnt worry too much. RIght now the heat is kicking everyone’s butt. It was 97 here today in Orlando and my Jamur is begging for water but not due until 4am……
Just make sure you splash a little on once the sun starts to go down.
This is the result of a very dry and warm winter in the South.
Not gonna be a fun summer for our lawns……

Part of my lawn has been crap too, and not because of a water shortage. Just flat out wouldn’t start growing or green up much. I tested a 10X10 area by aerating it (manually) and then spreading out some mushroom compost really well. 10 days later or so that area is very noticeably greener.

well almost two weeks after black kow and soil and being blessed by a nice amount of rain things are settling in. You can see the line where I stopped as my test. Keeps looking better every day
