Lawn care question

I recently bought a house around 1604 and patranco right outside San Antonio. I asked my builder what type of grass was layed down and he said it was Bermuda tiff. I will be honest and say I know nothing about taking care of grass other that water and mowing it. I obviously want my yard to look green, any help with fertilize and when to do it information would be greatly appreciated. A friend of mine suggested ScottÂ’s turf builder. Thanks…

Want a good lawn then do this:1. Put out pre-emergent in next week or two.2. Wait until mid-late March to fertilize the yard (otherwise you just fertilize the weeds).3. Spot spray any weeds you see growing4. Water properly – not frequently.
I prefer Lesco fertilizer. Put out a slow release with 1-2% iron. The iron will help the lawn look really green. I like the 16-4-8 Lesco with trace elements (slow release, iron, good price, good product).
Best of luck to you.
