I am trying to kill established common bermuda and crabgrass in established Native Seashore Paspalum. Any Suggestions

‘Bayer advanced Bermuda grass control’ may do it, but it may cause some temporary damage. I have never tried it, and the label doesn’t say anything about Paspalum, so you may have to test it on a small patch before you do the whole yard. It would also have to be sprayed several times to get good control.,(probably spring, summer and fall). It also kills crabgrass.

Matt Bradley from Bayer will be presenting new research on getting bermuda out of paspalum, along with a full day of paspalum seminars that might answer more of your questions. Plus, there’s golf in the afternoon. Perspectives on Paspalum is Wednesday, Sept 9, at Pine Lakes CC in Myrtle Beach, SC. It’s free to attend. Sign up at http://www.environmentalturf.com/rsvp.php

one other way is salt! seashores love the salt and dealing with certain weeds and chemical controls in paspalum can be very frustrating
