A large irregular patch, like a spreading puddle, is developing in the middle of my St Augustine. It is in the sun, and an established yard.
The grass on the edge is turning yellow, but not all of the grass dies. most does, but some is fine. We have had a good frost, but this is not the cold.

Sounds like fungus.
I almost forgot Do Not over water. Floratan /Seville all strains of St. Augustine are suseptible to fungus from over…
