Hydroseed vs just seeding

Hello I live in the dfw area. Moving into a new house with over 40,000 sq ft of area needing grass. I am getting quoted about $8k to hydroseed with riviera and about 6-7k for sahara. I am considering seeding myself. I should be able to get 3 pounds per sq ft of triangle bermuda down for about $1,400 triangle plus maybe $2k in soil prep. Also, what are peoples thoughts on triangle in dfw?

Wow, didn’t know it was that expensive! Yep, you can seed it yourself, and lightly rake it into the soil. 3 lb per 1,000 sq ft is good, and bermuda Triangle is better than Sahara.
