Horse Pasture Grass Houston Area

HelloI am new to the area and had been mentioned winter rye would be good to grow in my pasture. I have 2 horses in a area less than an acre.Does anyone know about this?Thanks

you can get blendsoats + rye will be fine

Talk to a local horseman. I would only suggest that you make sure the seed is NOT endophye enhanced.
