I have a major problem with weeds and brown spots on my St. Augustine. Dogs have killed grass in back and we will resod. I need help in improving grass and stopping weeds while protecting dogs. Have used services but not successful. I am in Orlando, Florida. Any suggestions on an alternative grasses that are resistant to weeds and dogs.

I’m near orlando and have tried a seashore paspalum in the seeded variety called Seaspray and it seems to be doing great. I don’t have dogs but the grass is dense like 419 on football fields so should taking a beating.
