Help ID Problem in Photo with Zoysia Lawn

Can anyone help identify what’s going on with my lawn? I’ve posted a photo at:
I can say that the large brown patch tends to have deer camping out in that spot on a nightly basis. Have noticed many droppings in that area over this spring/summer. Try to keep it clean , but it probably does get a bit more fertilized than the green parts.
Still, any ideas what’s going on with the brown spots all over?
Thanks in advance!-Dan

The deer would not make that pattern…..it looks more like a below surface insect problem. Apply a heavy dose of ‘Ortho bug b gon max’.

It’s chinch bugs. Having the lawn treated tomorrow. Will probably take a season to come back due to Zoysia’s slow growth rate.
