Grass Revival

Help! I am a new grass proprietor and just acquired a commercial property that was in bad shape. I have yet to identify the original grass but that will be nullified soon. My problem is reviving the grass that has been snuffed out by the weeds. I have just completed the first cut (in a long time) and plan to use a weed killer concentrate to get the existing weeds under control. I need help with what to do next. I don’t have a good supply of water access due to this being a strip mall and all the water outlets are in the back. I sure could use some help. I would love to impress the owner with my work seeing how I really had to talk him into giving me the job in the first place.

go ahead and apply a good herbicide to rid off the weeds. Once the temp. starts to drop a bit, say late August, fertilize with a high Nitrogen source using 1 lb. N./1000 square feet. If this doesnt revive the turf, overseeding is another option you have. Always remeber to water judiciosly and keep up on mowing, maybe raise the height of the mower for the first few mowings.
