Grass recommendation with Dog, drought tolerant?

What would be the best sod/grass solution for a southern Cal backyard with a female dog? St Aug looks a bit rough around the edges, Marathod did not hold up well. What about Tifgree or RTF? I’m don’t want to replant every year for it’s to costly can anyone recommend something as a grass/gound cover? Note – Calif native plants surround the grass area which are sensitive to over watering.

Tifgreen is a very good choice! Its a beautiful turf, and can handle urine much better than any cool season grass. RTF is good, but slow to recover in your situation.
