Grass fungus

I live in Miami, Florida. I recently plant a grass call Palmetto South about 8 or 9 months ago and it has been doing very good. It is very beautiful and green. I have been using iron and milorganite on it as a ferterlizer once every six weeks. Recently, since it has been so hot (in the 90s) I been watering it everyday for 36 minutes. Now it has some spot where it looks like it may have some kind of disease or fungus. I see little white (round) spots and also brown around the edges of the leaf area. What can I use to get rid of it?

Crystal:

Daily watering leads to fungus and produces shallow roots. Try this:1. Limit watering to 2/week — Or just water when blades start closing or your foot prints remain in the grass (deep water, say try 45-50 minutes per zone)2. Apply cornmeal to the areas you think have fungus (Dchall, aren’t you proud of me?)3. Give this 2-3 weeks.

If this fails, try immunox ( you can buy it at Home Depot).
