Grass for Shady Lawn

Suburb of Atlanta, GA
All help appreciated. Small mostly barren yard, mostly shady all day. What could I plug with? Where to buy?Thanks

You can try zoysia…..many places sell it on-line, or there may be local nursery’s in your area that carry sod on the weekend. Consider sodding the area “wall to wall” – because zoysia is very slow to spread from plugs. If you end up going with plugs, you can also seed the area at the same time with perennial ryegrass. The rye will give you a solid lawn immediately, while the plugs will eventually take over and be the permanent lawn.
I almost forgot Do Not over water. Floratan /Seville all strains of St. Augustine are suseptible to fungus from over…
