Getting Rid of Zoyzia

My friend was asking me how to get rid of a patch of Zoyzia that he has on his lawn. Can anybody give me any clues how to get rid of it without killing the grass around it?

Real Zoyzia is valuable in the right places. Tell him to get under it with a shovel all around and pull it up like a carpet. Then put it on raked freshened soil where other grass won’t grow, put sod or seed down where it was depending on where you live.

you would need to use roundup on it first!

Knowingn what type of grass is around it would make answering easier.
Roundup works fairly well buy then you need to resod or reseed. Or wait until fall and the zoysia browns and dig it up.
