Fescue sod vs Centipede sod Apex,NC

What would be the best grass use in Apex, NC. I am building a new house and the builder is going to use Fescue I have the option of “Upgrading” to Centipede. Which one is better or easier for maintenance.

You will have a tough time with fescue, especially the first 3 or 4 years while the yard is getting established.

I would pick centipede, as it will probably be easier to make look nice. It will be brown all winter long though.

I am in Cary, and had to completely renovate my lawn last summer. I decided to use zoysia, and I am glad that I did.
