Get your soil tested and go off that. Or 10-10-10 on the 4 major holidays is what i’ve always heard.

Personally I don’t think it matters at all. I’ve tried a million different tests and my zoysia always seems to look the same. I read once that zosia prefers chelated iron over nitrogen but have not tried that yet.

Zoysia is generally low-maintenance in regards to fertilizer.

My experience as a golf course superintendent managing zoysiagrass fairways was to fertilize once per month during the growing season with a balanced fertilizer (with some slow-release Nitrogen), at a rate of .25 – .5 lb N/1000 sq. ft.

This will give you a consistent feeding for the zoysia and give you that nice green look.

I spread lime out once a year in the summer. Some sod guy told me to do it, not sure why. I measured my pH and it read fine but I do it cause its easy to do and bags of lime are pretty cheap.
